IPCC 5th Assessment Report (AR5)

The primary mission of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is to produce periodic assessment reports on the state of knowledge on climate change. Fundamental to this effort is the production, collection and analysis of data from climate model simulations carried out by major international research centers. For the 4th Assessment, over 35 TB (78,158 files) of data were produced and archived and over 1,400 users have registered to receive IPCC data for analysis. AR5 is anticipated to be even larger.

Curator is working with ESG to develop a robust knowledge base that will describe AR5 model components and their datasets.
