Use Profiles (XML)
Use profiles are simple examples written in XML. They can be used to understand the structure of XML documents as well as understand the type of metadata Curator is developing.

XML Schemas (XSDs)
An XML Schema is written in the Schema Definition Language (XSD) and is used to constrain and define XML. For instance, if there are multiple options for a particular name-value pair, these can be explicitly listed in a XSD document. This sample XSD document contains the controlled vocabulary for several technical properties including coding language, compiler, operating system, process, platform, framework, and calendar type.
